Neurodiagnostics Program at Mekelle University, Ethiopia: 2015-2018

The Global Organization of Health Education's (GOHE's) pilot project involves providing Neurodiagnostics education to students at Mekelle University in Ethiopia. GOHE has the support of both ASET (The Neurodiagnostic Society) and ABRET (Neurodiagnostic Credentialing and Accreditation) in this project and we hope to help students who complete the program achieve accreditation. At GOHE, our ultimate goal is to help graduating students become instructors in order to support the growing need for Neurosciences in developing countries around the world. To date, we have shipped three electroencephalogram (EEG) systems to Ethiopia and five students at Mekelle University are learning the basics of Neurodiagnostics. In December 2017, we made a trip to Mekelle University to teach the clinical component of EEG to these students.
